The final jury is composed of entrepreneurs, investors, innovators, and changemakers.

Tejpaul Bhatia
Startup Programs NY @ Google Cloud

Tejpaul Bhatia is the NY Startup Program Lead for Google Cloud. He was most recently an Entrepreneur in Residence at Citi Ventures. His most recent startup post was as COO for Explain Everything, an interactive screen casting whiteboard app. He also served as CEO and co-founder of Chatwala, a mobile video chat app and Kaptur (acquired), an app that enables users to aggregate photos taken at an event in seconds. Prior to founding Kaptur, Tej was Senior Manager of Product and International Strategy for ESPN, where he launched ESPN3 in the US, Mexico, Brazil, and Europe. Tej received his degree in Computer Science from Columbia University.

Jean-Yves Fillion is Chief Executive Officer of BNP Paribas USA, overseeing the bank’s wholesale and retail activities in the United States, and Chairman of Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) for the Americas. He serves on the Board of Directors of BNP Paribas USA and on the Boards of its subsidiaries: Bank of the West Corporation, BancWest Holdings and BNP Paribas US Wholesale Holdings, Corp. Since joining the bank in 1984, Mr. Fillion has served in a succession of executive positions. Previous to his current role, he served as CEO of CIB Americas, COO of BNP Paribas Fortis and Co-Head of BNP Paribas’ CIB European Platform. In line with the Bank’s worldwide commitment to tennis, Mr. Fillion is a member of the Board of Governors for the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

Kevin P. Ryan is an American Internet entrepreneur who has founded several businesses, including Gilt Groupe, Business Insider and MongoDB, and also built DoubleClick from 1996 to 2005 (sold in 2005 for $1.1 billion to Hellman and Friedman LLC, and acquired by Google for $3.1 billion in March 2008). After leaving DoubleClick, Ryan founded AlleyCorp, a network of three affiliated Internet companies of which he is Chairman and CEO. Ryan was named one of the « 50 Most Influential Business People » by Crain’s New York Business.

Nathalie joined Capgemini in February 2018 and leads the Cloud and Cyber-security department. She had a long career in the French government before moving to New York, in particular the positions of Regional Councilor for Île-de-France; Secretary of State for Ecology; and Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development, Transport and Housing. She was also Assistant General Secretary of the UMP and spokesperson to Nicolas Sarkozy in the 2012 presidential election.

Jérôme has been involved with artificial intelligence, natural language processing, search, big data and machine learning for the past 20 years. He currently lead the AI research (FAIR) and applied (AML) teams at Facebook. Prior to Facebook, Jérôme was the CEO of BenevolentTech, the tech arm of BenevolentAI. Before that he managed a global team of researchers and software engineers within IBM Watson to create the IBM Watson Platform. He joined IBM after its acquisition of Vivisimo, the innovative search solutions company I co-founded in 2000.

Before joining Idinvest Partners Matthieu worked for Italtel, Europatweb, a venture fund founded by Bernard Arnault, and CapGemini Telecom. Matthieu began his career in 1994 at Bouygues Telecom, where he participated in the creation and launch of the mobile network.

He previously advised technology clients as a management consultant at Bain & Company and was an investor at Texas Pacific Group (TPG) as well as Dodge & Cox.

Roger Spitz is Head of TMT M&A Advisory Americas for BNP Paribas. Before moving to the US, he spearheaded the development of BNP Paribas’ European Technology Investment Banking franchise (M&A, Capital Raising & IPOs) based in London. Born in South Africa, Roger started his career in Technology Venture Capital, and later worked in M&A within EY’s Technology, Communications & Entertainment sector before joining BNP Paribas Corporate Finance in London. He is a Fellow of the ICAEW, and holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Durham University, UK.
